ben_carsonFormer presidential candidate Ben Carson hinted on Wednesday that he has accepted a Trump administration post, saying “an announcement is forthcoming about my role in helping to make America great again.”

It has been reported that Carson is in line to head the Department of Housing and Urban Development.

In a Wednesday morning Facebook post, Carson said that “after serious discussions with the Trump transition team, I feel that I can make a significant contribution particularly to making our inner cities great for everyone.” Carson dropped out of the Republican presidential race in March, and soon after threw his support behind Donald Trump.

On Tuesday, the president-elect tweeted that he was “seriously considering” the retired neurosurgeon for HUD secretary.

Considering Carson’s background in medicine, it is not entirely clear what experience he has with housing and urban development policy. Historically, HUD secretaries have had some experience in governing urban areas.
