On this journey, we will visit three of Atlanta’s most historic cemeteries, Oakland, South-View, and Westview Cemeteries. These cemeteries combined cover approximately 750 acres of land, have approximately 250,000 Atlanta citizens interred, and captures almost 170 years of Atlanta history. Many of Atlanta’s earliest mayors, business leaders, military service members, as well as Georgia Governors, U.S. Senators, and civil rights pioneers and others are buried at these cemeteries.
